The Research On The Development Of Digital Television In China

This thesis chooses the digitalization of TV medium, a process with fast-developing step and latent risks. With the analysis of the competitive market and consumer market, the demand and supply, the management and model, the thesis try to post the conflict in the function of supply and demand, the difficulties in the management and the relationship between market and policy. Throughput the analysis, the thesis reaches a conclusion: firstly, DTV in China is faced with the challenge of the new media and the foreign DTV; Secondly, the supply of DTV in China in shortage, and the supply are also in trouble. What's more, as the main management model of the development of DTV in China, "holistic switch"counts for a great deal, but there are still series of problems, such as the lack of content and fund, the level of consumption, the habit of consumption, the cleavage of network and so on. Thirdly, considering the situation of China, DTV in China is also faced with the balance between market forces and executive forces. Aiming at the problems, the thesis brings forward the strategy for the development of DTV in China. The content of DTV should be fractionated, the price should be set in levels, and the industry chain of DTV must be held together. In addition, we should expand the scope of operation and the resources of fund. What's more, the strategy should be adjusted according to the conditions. In so far as the relationship between the market and policy, the thesis suggest they combine accurately. On one hand, our government should release the control of alluring foreign capital and folk capital. On the other hand, our government should clutch the control to establish the industry standard, research the industry technology, conform the cable network, and to accelerate the development of economics of China.
