Traffic problems have been closely related to the human behavior. In recent years, the national vehicle population continues to grow and first-line cities have great traffic pressure. There was a resolve to mitigate the traffic situation in the capital by lottery. Microscopic traffic simulation gained more and more importance in traffic engineering due to its close to the nature of traffic flow. In recent years, cellular automata (CA) model turns to be the hot spots for traffic study. Although its rules are simple, CA model can simulate and explain the large number of transport events, and have high simulation efficiency. However, the traditional CA model can only be applied to large-scale traffic simulation. Considering the characteristics and the actual situation of our country, it is required to analyze the specific issues and the improved CA model to achieve the simulation results.In this paper, an improved CA model and Car-Following Model are proposed, in which both simulation time step and cell size is controllable. And the car-Following Model and Driver Model are merged into CA model. New model retains the essential characteristics of CA, such as parallel computing, so its simulation efficiency is high. Moreover, the space-time structure of the new model make it convenient to add any other micro-simulation research results to cellular automata rules, which can be more close to real traffic. Furthermore, the partitioning methods of the new model in time step and cell size provides new ideas for different scale traffic entities in the same space. Foreign traffic models are difficult to explain and fit well for mixed traffic problems in our country, and the new model is able to solve this problem and has great practical significance. Finally, car-following behavior and driver behavior have a very important practical significance.In this paper, C# and Direct X are used to develop to the simulation software based on CA model, car-following model and driver model. The convenience and well user interface of C# and the high speed computing and powerful dynamic rendering are combined to simulate the different scene. Finally, the microscopic simulation model in this paper is verified by data analysis.
