Today's access control technologies include fingerprint, IC card technology, card technology, smart sensor non-contact IC card technology. However, the existing RF-based cards, identification number and password access control system are only hovering between security and convenience. Adequate security has never been achieved before. Better security has brought inconvenience of use. So people turned to biometrics. Since the characteristics of human body can not be copied, it just can prevent unauthorized access. Fingerprint recognition technology is to rely on the characteristics of human fingerprint biometric authentication technology. Fingerprint identification as one of biology character identifications, because of the stability and security, has been widely applied to fnance and electron business; it is a hot spot of the present.This article studies the structure of automatic fingerprint identification system and the performance of DSP chips based on the structure, design and development company based TI TMS320VC5416PGE-160 DSP chips embedded automatic fingerprint identification system's hardware platform. The design iInclud fingerprint collection module, power management module, clock module, data storage and transmission module. In the development of the automated fingerprint identification system's hardware platforms and peripherals MCU to communicate again. Through the MCU to complete the fingerprint identification module control system. Achieve fingerprint collection, comparison, storage, human-computer interaction achieved by controlling the keyboard. Through the PC software to complete the set of system parameters, the fingerprint data import, with a fingerprint to add, delete function. Most critical is that this design also uses a touch screen is currently quite new to replace the traditional mechanical buttons and display modules. Also the design joined the voice circuit to make the operation more intelligent.
