Water is the basic resources for the survival of human race, how to provide high quality water services and to maximize energy savings has been a hot topic of people's attention. In our country, electricity deficiency and water shortage are highly serious.By the obsolete water supply equipment and outdated control technology, secondary water supply system in our country has low degree of automation, it can not guarantee the normal demand of our living and production,and the equipment sometimes waste a lot of electric power. So it is urgent to design water supply system which has high-performance, high reliability and low power with the help of advanced automation technology.According to the basic feature of water supply system, this paper analyzed water supply system's energy saving principle of using the frequency changer and describe it's technical flow.Then, we improved traditional secondary water supply system by using VVVF technology.Finally,we designed the water supply control system with pumps centering on OMRON CP1H PLC and ABB ACS510 convert by studying structural theory of the system.Because water supply system of constant pressure and frequency conversion has the characteristics of existing a long time lag, nonlinear and being disturbed easily by noises, so it is difficult to obtain satisfactory control effect using conventional PID control. This paper proposes an fuzzy and PID controller combination based on Genetic Algorthm, make the system have the agility and adjustability characteristics owing to the fuzzy control system and run stably resulting from the PID control system, the structure of fuzzy rule bases and PID parameters are optimized by Genetic Algorthm, so that the control system will better prepare them for water supply system. The simulation results show that the new control strategy has better performance.On the base of the theoty analyze,we designed the hardware and software of the system, illustrated the schematic diagram of the electric system,established electrical connections of all subsystems.In this paper,program was divided into subroutines by using structured programming,The host program realize the control function by calling subroutines.Finally,we carry on experimental studies for verifying the system performance. The experimental results prove that the system have good control performance and high reliability, the energy saving result was apparent.Now, This system of water supply has been used in some residential subdistricts and the system behavior proves desirable.
