Investigation And Research On Yunnan Dialect Of Udomse In Laos

Laos, an inland country in the Indo China Peninsula with long border line, isadjacent to Yunnan northern area. Now due to the partnership between China andAsean which grows rapidly, Yunnan province plays a more crucial role ever thanbefore. However, the situation about Yunnan dialect research of Laos is rarely to befound. The thesis uses Laos’s Udo Musser Chinese Yunnan dialect as examples, andattempts to describe and analyze the pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar of UdoMusser Chinese Yunnan dialect. In the research the author devoted to reflect theoverall appearance and characteristic of Laos’s Udo Musser Chinese Yunnan dialect.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction. It introduces the background and the idea of theresearch, the content and the methodology of the research, as well as the backgroundof pronunciation partner.In the second part, the author describes of Udo Musser Chinese phonetic systemofYunnan dialect, then compares it with Guangyun and Mandarin Chinese in terms oftime and history and eventually find the characteristics of Udo Musser ChineseYunnan dialect.The third part is about vocabulary. Based on "manual" dialect vocabulary, theauthor mainly investigated relevant field including astronomy, geography, agricultureetc, then edited the lexical classification and collected a total of1994vocabulary indialects.The fourth concentrates in grammar in the aspects of lexical and syntax. Thelexical part respectively discusses nouns, verbs, adjectives, pronouns, adverbs,prepositions, conjunctions, auxiliary words and modal words. The syntactic partanalyses the passive sentence, disposal sentence,“口格” sentences, negativesentences, comparative sentences, interrogative sentences, imperative sentences andexistential sentence.
