The results are as follows:(1) In the whole, the undergraduates’ self-compassion is characteristic evidently.Specifically the differences between grades are significant, but the differences betweendepartments and gender are not significant. The undergraduates’ self-esteem and subjectivewell-being are not characteristic evidently.(2) Self-compassion, self-esteem and subjective well-being and its various dimensionsof two related analysis and variance analysis showed that between two of the three hassignificant positive correlation, which is consistent with previous research results.(3) For two different types of high self-esteem level of self-compassion of varianceanalysis showed that the high defense self-respect’ self-compassion level were significantlylower than the real high self-esteem’, the results of this study is a provide evidence to thehypothesis of self-compassion is a kind of better attitude to self than self-esteem.(4) The mediating effect of self-esteem between self-compassion and its fourdimensions which include self-acceptance, self-identity, self-regulation, emotionalmindfulness and subjective well-being, and not fully mediation.
