Water is originally natural resource for human beings, however, in the process of human interaction, people continuously enrich its connotations and envolved it into a culture.The culture of water embodies the diversity of water itself, a crystallation of the Chinese people's human emotion, contents of rich human spiritual and moral factors, and the radiance of rational thinking.This paper, taking the 2007 version Chinese high school textbook published by People's Education Press as an example, digs the implicit cultural connotation of water, interpretes the essence of water cultual by inducting the relative texts in order. This passage endeavors to develop a comprehensive understanding and grasp of the water culture contained in the Chinese teaching materials which helps to guide the high school students to keep a cultural view on the textbooks, deliberately improve their literacy and aquire a unique emotional experience and harmonious development.
