In recent years, world attention has focused on"Learning Strategies"in the field of education physiology and research. On one hand, the students'grasp of learning strategies has become a fundamental measure of their independent learning ability. On the other hand, from a psychological perspective, the students'use of various learning strategies is not only an important part of their problem solving capabilities, but also a significant indicator of each student's cognitive development.Based on the assessment form on learning strategies for grade seven to nine students provided by the Ministry of Education of English curriculum standards (trial version) in full-time compulsory education and general high schools, this paper intends to gather information about the students'use of learning strategies and tries to analyze the impact of various learning strategies on the students'acquisition of English language skills through sample survey in junior students.This paper consists of seven sections. Section One is the introduction. It focuses on introducing the background research and lists the questions to be considered. Section Two is literature review, mainly elaborating on the theoretical background of this paper. It focuses on the study in learning strategies conducted by phonetics learners both at home and abroad these years, for instance the definitions and categories of the theory in learning strategies. Section Three is the research. This section illustrates the questionnaire and records the student interviews. The study group consisted of 270 Junior High School students in Wenzhou Junior High School from grades seven to nine, 90 students in each grade. The survey intends to testify the impacts of grades and genders on learning strategies through studying the frequency of using learning strategies in Junior High School students. Based on the questionnaire and interviewing, this paper analyses which learning strategies the students used and discusses the factors in order to analyse the results. Section Four mainly discusses the survey results and subsequent analysis. Section Five is the discussion. Section Six contains teaching suggestions. Section Seven is conclusion. This section of the paper summarizes the survey.
