| The relationship between religion and superstition is the basic content of education on religious view point of Marxist. Making a clear understanding for religion, superstition, and their relationship have an important role on that students adhere to atheism and the party's religious policies; advocating science and opposing superstition. In order to find out to what degree college students understand the distinction between religion and superstition, and promote education of maxistic perspective on religion effectively, Research Institute of Religion and Ethnics gave a systematic and detailed research on the understanding of the relationship between religion and superstition among college students from 2003 to 2005, and in the study we adopt different methods including questionnaires and interviews to carry out the research guided by maxisitic perspective on religion. In the first part, According to the research, we find that about 36.06 % of students has basically mastered the fundemental theories of maxistic religion perspective because of years of education college students have received; however, still about 70 % of students have a vague idea of the concept, among which some think that no distinction between religion and superstition; some think essential distinction exists between them and therefore they reach the result that religion is science and superstition is ignorant. In this sense, we find that they cannot clearly distinguish between religion, superstition, and science. In the second part, Theoretically and in reality, the thesis points out the main reasons that exist and which lead to the obscure understanding of religion and superstition among students. The reasons include: first, they both propagate theism and fatalism; second, religions and superstition both are created in the primitive society, and the two includes each other therefore it is difficult to distinguish them; third, in the later period of individual development, religions, superstition, folk cultures, and folk beliefs absorbed each other in different degrees, and this is the theoretical reason for students'vogue understanding.Last part, the article concluded that to correct college students'vague understanding should insist combination of theory and practice and concrete analysis of concrete problems: First of all, must be fully are fully understanding the significance of distinguishing religion and superstition is necessary; second, in theory, strengthen the theoretical research on relationship between religion and superstition, especially theoretical research for specific fuzzy understanding; last, a variety of methods should be adopted in actual teaching so as to aid students to understand the distinction between the two. |
