Appreciation education is the need of educational development of the times, comparing to the traditional education concept and cultivating pattern, appreciation education is a kind of education idea with more humanity. Appreciation education embodies the essence of the education and accords with the characteristics of children's physical and psychological development, it can activate children's vigor and creativity , it is also helpful for harmonizing the relationship of the family, children can receive education insensibly in such a relaxing environment. Family education is an important part in the whole education, the characteristics of family education decide the special status of parents in children's education, and therefore, it is of great importance to analyze the children's appreciation education in family education. Do the parents understand exactly the essence of the appreciation education? What's appreciation education? What's the advantage of appreciation education? What's the relationship between the appreciation education and the punishment education? What is the status quo of appreciation education? How to apply appreciation education concretely? The paper is to solve these questions above.This paper is mainly composed of three parts:Part One, the author presents the cases which reflect the opposite effect in applying appreciation education and thereby educes the reflection of appreciation education. Based on the literature summarization, the author sums up the main opinions about appreciation education and brings forwards attitude on it.Part Two is about theoretical analysis of children's education in family education. The author analyzes the characteristics of children's education in family education. Then probes into the connotation of appreciation education, the author thinks the children's appreciation is based on the psychological characteristics and the need of children. It is a kind of education that affirms the children's strong points and good qualities through the approaches like praising, inspiring the children and so on to encourage the children to pursue success and exert potentiality. Expound the academic basis of appreciation education in family education,namely Hierarchy of Needs Theory, Reinforcement Theory, Expectancy Theory,Theory of Multiple Intelligences, Theory of Child Psychology and Children Education Theory. At last,the author analyzes the significance of appreciation education in family education. It is helpful for the cultivating of children's positive attitude, the renewal of parents'education concept and the establishment of harmonious parenthood.Part Three is about the practice of children's appreciation education in family education. The author analyzes the problems and its causes and results in the implementation of appreciation education. Then the author provides some suggestions for the children's parents: to improve the parents'comprehensive quality and ability of appreciation education, that is, trust and respect the children with love;abide by the principles of appreciation education, such as temperate appreciation, combination of appreciation education and punishment education, evaluate the children positively and roundly, appreciate the children's hard-working and qualities; pay attention to the strategy and art of appreciation education, including diversity of appreciation education,the diversification of the appreciation approach,the multiple main body of appreciation and the art of language and posture; create the appreciation atmosphere in family, and so on.
