| To a great extent, the development of school-based curriculum can make up for the deficiency of national curriculum, raise teachers'senses of curriculum and ability of teaching and research, cultivate talents who are adapt to the development of society, and do good to establish characteristic school. Therefore, it has been researched in many countries'curriculum reform and has made great progress. Since the beginning of the century, under the promotion of national policies, the school-based curriculum has been developed in many primary and secondary schools in China, and has become a new trend of curriculum reform in basic education field.With regard to the development of school-based history curriculum at secondary school level, three aspects have to be paid close attention: first, it should be according to the fuction and characteristics of history subject of senior high school; second, it should suit the need of teaching in current national history course; third, it should embody the features of locality and school running. However, under the circumstance of fierce competition in national exam, in many senior high schools, national exam is still what teachers are most concerned with, so that the development of school-based curriculum is seriously neglected. Some schools may have done something about it, but the quality is not so good. As for history which has always been regarded as an unimportant subject, it is even put into the marginal effect zone. Under such situation, how do we combine effectively the above three factors to creat the practical school-based history curriculum at secondary school level? In the writer's opinon, the reasonable way is to make use of rich historical material as the subject source and adopt the method of editing new curriculum, with the leading role of national curriculum. Therefore, with the example of Luchuan Senior High School where the writer works, the writer chose the school-based local history curriculum at secondary school level as the research object and did practical research, according to the theories of the development of school-based curriculum and combining the writer's teaching experience and the characteristics of history subject.The thesis is divided into 5 parts.The first part is an introduction. It introduces the reasons and the meanings of the subject research, the connotation and the fuctions of the development of school-based curriculum, briefly analyzes the current situation of the development of school-based curriculum in our country and points out the existing problems and weak points.The second part talks about the necessity of the development of school-based history curriculum in senior high school and the educational meaning of local history. On the one hand, objectively, the trend of globalization, the knowledge economy times, and the movement of new course reform cause to develop school-based history curriculum; while, subjectively, deepening the teaching reform of history in senior high school, giving full play to the educational fuctions of history subject, and promoting the local social and economic development are all attributed to the school-based history curriculum development. On the other hand, digging out and making full use of colorful and rich history material do not only realize the educational value of local history material, but also make up for the deficiency of national curriculum, enrich the classroom teaching content, is favor of changing students'learning methods, heighten students'human quality, and achieve the goal that history teaching moves from"small history"to"big history".The third part mainly deals with the process of the school-based history curriculum development in Luchuan Senior High School, which is the body of the thesis. The writer takes the school-based history curriculum development as the case study and discusses the course which is mainly concerned with the local history, from the following 7 aspects: establishing the group, making the plan, analyzing the environment, determining the goal, developing the material, compiling the textbook, and the practice and evaluation of the curriculum. According to the thesis, establishing the group consisting of school leaders as the leading core and the history teachers as the main body is the essential prerequisite; combining the practical conditions of locality and school, deciding the development plan and goal, and analyzing the development conditions are the necessary assurances; the textbook compilation should be based on the national course standard; in practice, the main forms of utilizing the curriculum should be compulsory course, optional course, and the social investigation; and the textbook evaluation should be performed from textbook, teaching activities and learning situations.The fourth part is about the experience and reflection during the research. Through the practical research, the writer thinks that in order to guarantee the quality of the national course and the effective implementation of the school-based curriculum, the relationships among the national course, local course and school-based curriculum have to be well dealt with. During the process of the development of the school-based history curriculum, the local history sources have to be highly valued to dig out and use. Teaching practice and evaluation have to be in accordance with the school's real conditions and build the mode with self-characteristics. |
