The special education in Guangdong wants to see a breakthrough, the key factor is qualified teachers. And the further training of the teachers of special education is the only way to realize the breakthrough. In order to get a clear understanding the present situation of the special education in Guangdong, this research is based on the questionnaire about the thirty special schools in Guangdong Province. After the research, we find out the following problems: (1), there is no special training institute for teachers in the special education schools. (2), the training of the teachers of the special education is not concrete. (3), financial support is not enough. (4), the training offered to the teachers of special education gets unsatisfying results. (5), time spent on further training is not enough. (6) , the way the teachers are trained has some disadvantages. (7), teachers of special education get low social status.According to the research, several suggestions are made to improve the training of the teachers of the special education. First, more attention should be paid on the training of teachers of special education. Second, more institutes and ways should be created to train the teachers of special education. Third, a training system based on the special shool and between the special schools should be set up to help the teachers to receive a lifelong training. Fourth, more financial support should be given to the training of the teachers of the special schools. Fifth, a qualification system should be set up to select qualified teachers for special education.The report, based on a questionnaire, is focused on the further training of special education teachers in Guangdong Province. It points out the problems in training teachers of special education and analyses the causes of these problems. At last, it presents the solutions to these problems.
