The Sanda of Martial arts has a long history as Chinese nation's traditional sports, but the time of developing as the modern athletics sports project is not long. The original National Physical Culture Committee decided to carry on experiments of Sanda project in the Physical Culture Committee of Zhejiang Province, Beijing Institute of Physical Education, and Wuhan Institute of Physical Education in 1979, the movement of Sanda has obtained rapid development in the short 30 years.The contest rule has the guidance function to the entire athletics movement, but the contest rule of movement of Sanda appeared revision for many times in the short time, successively appeared the versions of 1982, 1988, 1990, 1996, 1998 and the probationary version of 2004 as well as many《Martial arts'Sanda Contest rule》and the corresponding additional regulations. At present, three different rules are used in the most three influential matches of Sanda World Cup, the Sanda championship, and the king competition of Sanda. The differences of competitive rules between the sports events, domestic and the international must impact the competition fairness and influence, which are bad to international development of Sanda, add up unclearness in the rules and medical supervision as well as indefinite interpretation for grading of female bodyweight etc .All of these limit the sports development of Sanda .This paper uses the methods of documents, questionnaires, interviews, mathematical statistics and so on to investigate the factors which affect the rules making of Sanda , the score standards, positions, contest methods, and venues of the contest of current Sanda and concludes that: few rounds, simple handling after being hit down, mitts with the development of technology, round trip with Chinese characteristics etc. Put forward the strengthen necessary modify in match safety, enjoying, Chinese characteristics, international and so on aspects of Sanda.
