For quite a long time, middle school English teaching/learning has always been perplexing due to the examination-oriented education. Many of the government or educational administrative departments, and personages of all social circles always regard the rate of higher school admission as the only standard of assessing educational quality, which leads school and parents to be fond of Examination Education and people regard marks a crucial indexes and test scores as achievements. All the teaching activities follow the test commanding stick to turn, neglecting education according to different students and overall improvement of students' qualities.Under this kind of educational environment, teachers always teach English on the purpose of getting high marks, they teach much language knowledge and make students do many exercises, it makes students study language in the state of suppressed and monotonous environment and deviates from the fundamental purpose to study language for communication seriously. The students may have higher marks but lower capacities. With low practical and communicative ability, they become "deaf and mute" in the English language use. This kind of teaching method can not confirm to social developing needs of our country. Middle school English teachers wish to search for a new teaching method through practice actively, thus many modern teaching methods appeared, such as Communicative Teaching Approach, Task-based Teaching Method, Eclectic Teaching Method, and so on, which focus on improve students' communication ability, but exclusively using these modern teaching methods have been proved not to be very appropriate to Chinese traditional education background, then how to integrate traditional teaching methods with modern ones into English teaching in China has become a hot researching subject in recent years.In this thesis, the author did questionnaire and interview in Pingxiang Middle School and Fuli Middle School in Jiangxi province to look up the satisfactory degree...
