The reforms and develops of our country's education require a large quantity good thought ,and "leader type" principals, but the development of our country's principal professional compared with foreign's,there was great difference in the aspect of theoretical research, or exploring of practising.The studies of the principal's professional of primary school were in lower level yet, on the one hand, on research content did not still get rid of the influence of foreign research, a lots researchs still were introduction of abroad related researchs; at the same time,for the knowledge and specialization of principal professional,there were unification still.for the instance, for the define of principal's capacities of primary school wasn't consistent in existing researchs. Concept does not have operatingness to make research lack strict logic and structural frame , lack systematicness, did not develop integrity strength. In research technique emphasize describing research, there the consciousness of multivariate methods lacks , make research lack explanation and forecast, can not offer the practical guidance for operation for reality.This research adopted both method of questionnaire investigation and talking,and chosed LanZhou's present principal and ordinary teacher to investigate age structural, the level of education and the knowledge of principal professional,and explore the effect of background varible to principal professional.and the same time to discuss and analyse general teacher's knowledge and appraises of principal professional.The results are as follows: (1) these varibles such as age structural, the level of education have effect to the professional development of principal; ( 2 ) the professional development of principal was affected by school condition and social appraisement,so that some priciple burden the great pressure; ( 3 ) principal's main consciousness is not strong, review consciousness and research consciousness have level,and was influenced by principal background factor; ( 4 ) the training experimental unit works of primary school principal's have gotten some preliminary experiences, but development was disequilibrium; ( 5 ) about the professional quality of the principal of primary school, existing research has no unified knowledge; ( 6 ) there ware influence that such as age structural, level of educational background to the knowledge and appraises of the present primary school principal for principal's quality ability.To strengthen professional image and consciousness of principal occupation, train decision ability, teaching ability, organization ability, morals mastery, self condition and the learning ability principal troops of primary school,This study make following suggestion: (1) we should select principal strictly; ( 2 ) should develop principal training work continuously; ( 3 ) should emphasize evaluation vigorously for principal; ( 4 ) should perfect the relevant system of principal troops construction; ( 5 ) should explore principal management system reform experimental unit actively.
