Recently it has been accepted that English teaching is not merely a transmission of language skills, but rather an integrated teaching of language and its culture. So whether intercultural education is applied to English Teaching is one of the ways to differ traditional English teaching from modern English teaching. English teaching in advanced vocational education should integrate with the related culture teaching. According to the students' particular situation in English learning in advanced vocational education college, cultural elements must be involved in English teaching. Listening is considered as the first of the four skills—listening, speaking ,reading, writing and translating. The dissertation puts forward the view on Culture Input Of English Listening Teaching In Advanced Vocational Education and does an experiment on it by the characters of the English teaching of advanced vocational education.The dissertation is divided into six chapters.The first chapter tells the meaning, the importance of English teaching in advanced vocational education and then puts forward the research on Culture Input Of English Listening Teaching In Advanced Vocational Education. The first step is to tell the basic demands of the syllabus of advanced vocational education. Secondly, it defines English practical ability and the ways to improve and develop students' English practical ability. It analyses the condition of the students in advanced vocational college and infers that English culture input can be carried in different periods and levels of language teaching. That is to say , English culture input is put into English listening teaching.The second chapter discusses culture teaching in English listening teaching. The first is to review the history and the condition of intercultural communication in language teaching; and then explores culture, language and the relations between culture and language teaching; and emphasizes the importance and displays the use of English culture background knowledge and English thinking ways during the English listening teaching.The third chapter is to illustrate the ways of English listening teaching. English culture teaching is put into English listening teaching in the three levels—surface culture, advanced culture and culture comparison (English and Chinese).The fourth chapter is about the experiment. It relates the purpose, design, subjects method and contents of the experiment.The fifth chapter evaluates and analyzes the experiment and then discusses the results of the research.The sixth chapter is the conclusion, to discover the questions and to put forward the suggestions experiment.The purpose of the present paper is to examine the significance and implementation of cultural input in English listening teaching, and to find some ways practical to language teachers, making classes lively, developing students' interest of learning English, improving the effects of English teaching; and to train students' sensibility and awareness on intercultural impact.
