Based on the relevant researches both domestic and abroad, the thesis deals with the obstacles and strategies of bilingual education in Chinese university, from the perspective of ISD (Instructional System Design) theories, by means of a case study of JiangXi Normal University. It is divided into 5 chapters:Chapter-1: Introduction on the General Situation of the Research. (1) describes the developmental trends of bilingual education in Chinese university by analyzing the epoch background and educational background. (2) introduces the development of relevant researches on university bilingual education both domestic and abroad. (3) constructs the framework of the research, such as the problems and the methods of the research, etcCnapter-2: Description of the Variables. (1) points out the nature and the orientation of bilingual education in Chinese university. (2) briefly describes the contents of the conceptual model of ISD. (3) presents the variables in bilingual education of China from four angles: learner, content, environment, and strategy. (4) specifies the variables in bilingual education in Chinese university, based on the variables in bilingual education of China, concerned with the characteristics of bilingual education in Chinese university.Chapter-3: Diagnoses for the Problem. (1) illuminates the purposes, objects and methods of the case study around the bilingual education of JiangXi Normal University. (2) analyzes and discusses the research findings from five dimensions: environment(management/ evaluation, teachers), learners, contents, strategies and effects. It draws a conclusion that there are a lot of obstacles in bilingual education in Chinese university, which encompass as follows: learners' level, teachers, teaching materials, teaching strategies and management/ evaluation methods etc But among them, the teaching strategies could hardly adapt to the learners' level is the most outstanding problem.Chapter-4: Discussions on Strategies. (1) emphasizes on the methods for improving the teaching strategies: the optimization of teaching medias and teaching methods for the classroom teaching strategy, the step-up bilingual education model for the curriculum teaching strategy. (2) explores the strategies for teachers' resources by analyzing the sources of teachers and the ways of teachers training. (3) establishes the criteria for choosing teaching contents and teaching materials in order to counter with the obstacles on teaching contents. (4) For improving the evaluation system of bilingual education, it explores the methods for evaluating learners and also develops a rubric for evaluating teachers' teaching.Chapter-5: Conclusions of the Research. (1) summarizes the conclusions and findings of this research. (2) further studies.
