Studies On The Effectiveness Of Political Socialization In Social Transition

Briefly said, political socialization means a process in which a man in society becomes a political man. During the process, many factors affect the social man and he interact with the society and other people. When the social man becomes "political-learner" and "political-participant", the political socialization process forms. The China's social transition has had a profound effect on political socialization because of its deepness and particularity. How to construct the effective methods of political socialization is very important to the formation of political man in accordance with the macro background from the view of methodology. And also the process plays an important part to the transmission of political culture, to the stabilization and development of political system. On the basis of defining the concept and investigating the history, the paper studies the background and pattern of political socialization in China's social transition, analyses the factors which influence political socialization. At last the paper discusses the ways that help to enhance the effectiveness. Firstly, on the politics guidance aspect, it should enhance and improve the leadership of CCP, transform the function and work style of the government. Secondly, on the concrete ways and content aspect, it should consist of four combinations: the combination of explicit and implicit socialization; the combination of formal and informal socialization; the combination of traditional moral and modern democracy; the combination of politics-educating, learning and politics-participating.
