Wordsworth's Poetry Of Space Art

William Wordsworth was a representitive poet of English Romanticism Literature in the 19th century, he had made outstanding contributions to the theory creation and practice of poetry creation. The essay is mainly to study Wordsworth's practice of poetry creation from the space angle and deeply discuss his poem through the theory of spacial criticism.This essay is divided into three chapters from the theory of Soja'sThree Spaces and Lefebvre's Physical Space Spiritual Space and Space Production as the basic framework to analyze the spacial art of his poems.The first chapter is to analyze the space forms of Wordsworth's poems, it is mainly about the spacial places in Physical meaning. There are three space forms in his poems by analyzing: rural space,urban space and open space. Rural space is full of harmony,warmth and serenity; urban space is full of power filth and decline while open space is the place where the literatures of rural space and urban space interesect. The second chapter is to analyze the spacial artistical forms of Wordsworth's poems, it's mainly about Spiritural Space. Wordsworth had made use of various kinds of artistic tactics and skills in his poems to bring readers strong feeling of space experience with strong spacial expressive force. The third chapter analyzes that Wordsworth's poems as the existence of literature text space is heterogeneous itself, it's the result of all kinds of forces' intersection; the heterogenicity of literature text space comes from the heterogenicity of Space Production of text; text space is productive space as other spaces which work out social relationship; it is mainly to analyze the production of political space in text space at the end of this chapter, Wordsworth had built his own politics' ideal space where human beings and the nature live in harmony, and that is always Wordsworth's political belief.From the analysis of Wordsworth's poems through the theory of space criticism, we know that his poems overcome the limitations that people always uses language words as timely narrative medium, and strong feeling of picture is reflected with strong spacial expressive force; as dimension of the existence of poems, the poems are not only good at expressing space, the "narrative" effect of space also can't be ignored in his poems, and strong space tensility was produced among text peot and readers; at last, we jumped out of traditional set pattern of Wordsworth's ideology analysis through space analysis.The contradictive crack of this essay is not the result of change of the poet's thinking but the unavoidable result of heterogeneous feature of space.
