A Study Of Diversified Initiation Theme Of Harry Potter Series

This thesis studies the initiation theme of Harry Potter series. It also tells that how the author inherits and reforms the traditional literature. Consequently it can go deep into the social and culture meanings of "Harry Potter heat". The whole thesis consists of three parts. The first part (chapter I & II) traces back to the history of initiation theme in the Western literature, including the translations from the West to China. It analyzes the creative ideas of the author, focusing on the growing-up experience of J.K. Rowling, which is reflected in her biography. It leads the creative process and influence to Harry Potter series. The second part (chapter III & IV) completely analyzes the whole frame of initiation theme of Harry Potter series. By means of making diagrams, it relates to theme study. Then it verifies the diversification of the theme from the details in Harry Potter series. The third part (chapter V) learns the social and culture meanings in the whole series. Like human beings, the literature has its enlightenment and reflection to the society.
