Numerous scholars have studied translator's subjectivity from different perspectives, greatly broadening the scope of translation studies. However, nearly all such studies took individual translator as the research object, which is rather idealized, because in real life situation, a certain number of translations are actually handled by two or more translators.Actually, co-translation is documentally recorded in both China and the west in history, ranging form the Bible translation in the west, the translation of Buddhist Scriptures in China, to the current Harry Potter series published by People's Literature Publishing House. Besides, co-translation is still considered as an efficient translation mode and adopted today. The studies on co-translation, nevertheless, can't be called comprehensive and deep: firstly, it wasn't give enough attention to, and the research fruit on it is accountable; besides, most of the accessible materials on it are descriptive, few scholars have studied it with the support of certain theory.The paper intends to study co-translation in the context of translator's subjectivity. It includes the review of translator's development and evolution, an introduction to co-translation. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 1co-translated by Ma Ainong and Ma Aixin, is used to function as the study case, from which the examples are extracted the author particularly studies the display of translator's subjectivity in co-translationThe paper consists of three chapters, plus Introduction and Conclusion.The 1^st chapter mainly deals with translator's subjectivity, involving its definition and its historical development.The 2^nd chapter talks about co-translation. Its definition is firstly provided. Following is the author's trial division of co-translation from a new angel. In the chapter, the author also lists the comments made on co-translation by different scholars. As the focus, the 3^rd chapter discusses translator's subjectivity in co-translation by studying Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. In the former two parts, the author introduces some basic information concerning the book, as well as the reasons for the co-translation, concerning the specific characteristics of the book. The 3rd part involves the translator's subjectivity in HP6. By analyzing the extracted examples, the author discusses the display of translator's subjectivity from the selection of the source material, understanding of the text, translation purpose and translation strategies.
