A Study Of Dong Qiusi As A Translator

The subject of this thesis is focused on Dong Qiusi who is the first person that came up with the suggestion that a complete system on translation theory should be built, and also the first person that created the phrase "Chinese Translatology". His life experience, works as well as ideas on translation will be straightened out in this thesis so that the relation between the translator and the concrete era, as well as the connection between his thought and works will be explored. At last, its contribution will be summed up to reassure the position he deserves in the field of translation in our country.
