The Overview Of Researches On Affixes In Shishuo Xinyu

Affixition is a special part of Chinese grammar and is studied more frequently than any other grammar units. As the research on grammar going deeper and deeper, affix has attracted more attention for ever. During mesoid, which is transient period between ancient and near present, some units of grammar have been died out and some became sprouting. Morphology of Chinese grammar was also changing, including monosyllabic word becoming diphonia and notional word becoming vignette. Further it developed into affix, which is major method to form compound word.Shishuo Xinyu is the most important article to study the history of the Southern and Northern Dynasties. It has already been attracting many specialists to do the research. That is the reason why we choose affix in this book as material to study. For more than one century, scholars have already started to study Shishuo Xinyu in depth. The research were from all angles and drawed deferent conclusions. Based on this reason, it is difficult to decide whether it is an affix or not. For example, we should decide affix based on whether it is not vignette, or we should decide it based on whether it is dissociative.In this article, we'd like to clear up, analyze and summarize the existing samples and etc. We will also study on emerging, developing and dying out. Through discussing and analyzing of affix in Shishuo Xinyu, we are willing to understand new theory of affix, especially on ancient affix and additional morphology. We can understand new language unit and relevant morphology. At the same time, we can provide new tip for research of phenomenon which is not yet clarified. It will be extremely import for the better understanding of mesoid language morphology, even monograph research and grammar study through whole history of Chinese language.
