Body composition and its change is an important factor to impact health of people. With social progress and improving of living standards,obesity and the relative diseases have become a serious problem to affect public health.Obesity should be determined according to the actual fat content of body.The measurement and clinical evaluation of fat content have great significance.Multi-slice spiral computed tomography(MSCT) is a new technology developed in recent years.This thesis is a methodology research on the body adipose measurement using MSCT.In the thesis,the volume scanning method of 16-MSCT is used to display images of the abdominal and pelvic adipose tissue and the adipose distributions,the quantitative measurement of body adipose is carried out,and the accurate measurement method of body adipose content is studied.In order to study the clinical application characteristics of different adipose measurement methods,a series of contrast experiments of body mass index(BMI),bioelectrical impedance analysis(BIA) and MSCT are executed.The MSCT quantitative test results are used to calibrate the prediction formula and improve the measurement precision of BIA methods.The main characteristics and innovation of the thesis are as follows.Aim at evaluation of adipose accumulation and obesity the thesis explores the accurate measurement method of human adipose content using MSCT.The quantitative measured of abdominal adipose volume,fat mass percentage and abdominal fat distribution for 68 cases healthy volunteers(33 male,35 female) were performed by MSCT.The contrast experiments of MSCT method with BMI method,BIA whole body method,BIA segment method and BIA trunk subdivision method are performed,and the accuracy and effectiveness of BMI method,BIA whole body method,BIA segment method and BIA trunk subdivision method are compared and evaluated.By statistics analysis,the measurement results of BIA whole body method,BIA segment method and BIA trunk subdivision method are calibrated,The body fat prediction formula corresponding to different BIA methods are created.This provides quantitative measurement results for the development of BIA method in the further.Obesity should be determined by the actual adipose content of body tissue.MSCT can make accurate quantitative measurements of fat volume,fat volume percentage and fat distribution for human body.By combined with clinical syndromes,MSCT can analyse body compositions and study the obesity and its complications.As an accurate measurement method MSCT can used to compare and evaluate the effectiveness and practicality of other methods,such as BMI,BIA.
