| Objective: By examining the differences of plasma endotoxin, thehepatic expression of CD14 receptor and Toll-like receptor 4, hepatictissue pathological change in the following 4 groups: blank controlgroup, model control group, Hovenia Dulcis Thunb group, treatmentgroup at SD rats, explore the effect of Hovenia Dulcis Thunb extractedliquid on acute alcoholism SD rats. This study was designed to elucidatethe protective effect of acute alcoholism SD rats in view of biochemistryand morphology, and may give the clinical physicians useful suggestionsabout prevention and treatment of acute alcoholism and alcoholic liverdisease.Methods: Rats were divided into 4 groups(10 per group): blankcontrol group, model control group, Hovenia Dulcis Thunb group,treatment group by randomized block method. Blank control group weregiven normal sodium (1.4ml/100g body weight) once every 24 hoursintragastrically; Model control group were given wine of 56' (1.4ml/100gbody weight) once every 24 hours intragastrieally. Treatment group were given wine of 56' (1.4ml/100g body weight) and Hovenia Dulcis Thunbextracted liquid (1ml/100g body weight) once every 24 hoursintragastrically. Hovenia Dulcis Thunb group were given HoveniaDulcis Thunb Extracted liquid (1ml/100g body weight) once every 24hours intragastrically. It takes 10 days to build models. Plasmaendotoxin was measured by afebrile source method. The hepaticexpression of CD14 receptor and TLR-4 were determined byimmunochemistry and liver histology was evaluated by light microscope.Results: The difference of the plasma endotoxin concentration andthe hepatic expression of CD14 receptor and Toll-like receptor 4between treat group and model control group had statisticsignificance(P<0.05), so did blank control group and model control group.Treat group were less than model control group and blank control groupin blood plasma endotoxin concentration and the hepatic expression ofCD14 receptor and Toll-like receptor 4. Hovenia Dulcis Thunb groupwere less than model control group and blank control group in the hepaticexpression of CD14 receptor.Conclusion: Hovenia Dulcis Thunb extracted liquid can obviouslydepress blood plasma endotoxin concentration and the hepatic expressionof CD14 receptor and Toll-like receptor 4, and lessen infiltrating extent ofhepatic tissue inflammatory cell. |
