Objective To analyze the correlation of intraocular pressure(IOP) and central corneal thickness(CCT) before and after laser in situ keratomileusis (Lasik). Methods Clinical data of 60 patients(119 eyes) undergone Lasik excluded eye disease were observed. Before and 1 month,3 months,6 months, 12 months after Lasik,IOP and CCT of each patient was carefully measured.Result The IOP of 1 month,3 months,6 months,12 months after Lasik were 9.05±2.14mm Hg, 9.32±2.09mmHg,9.56±2.16mmHg,10.545±2.13mmHg,which were significantly(p<0.001) lower than pre-operative IOP (15.49±2.16mmHg)separately.The CCT of 1 month,3 months,6 months,12 months after Lasik were 437.4±54.2μm, 443.5±54.8μm,452.5±54.3μm,464.2±54.5μm,which were significantly(p<0.001) thinner than it was before Lasik (537.09±37.37μm)separately.The correlation coefficient and coefficient of regression of decrease in IOP(mmHg) and decrease amount of CCT(μm) were 0.562(p<0.001) and 0.032(p<0.001).Conclusion The decrease in IOP after Lasik was related to the decrease in central corneal thickness. The IOP increases while corneal epithelium concrescence proceeds and corneal structure recovers after Lasik.
