Corn husking device which can affect working efficiency of corn combine harvester, seed loss rate, seed broken rate, bract no-husking rate, and corn impurity rate directly and greatly is one of the prime important working parts of corn combine harvester. According to "Eleventh Five-Year" national scientific and technological support projects, the whole structure and the main parts of corn combine harvester husking device were studied. And a multi-index orthogonal experiment was carried out. The orthogonal experiment has 3 factors, including the type of the husking rolls, the velocity of the husking roll and the velocity of the suppressor. And each factor has 3 levels. According to the analysis of the experiment data, the best combination plan can be found out. It was designed for the products to improve bract husking rate and decrease seed loss rate.Through the analysis of the experiment data, the primary conclusions as follow could be drawn:â‘ The best combination plan of the husking device is that the type of husking rolls is III; thevelocity of husking rolls is 2.4m/s; the velocity of suppressor is 1.8m/s.â‘¡Type and velocity of husking rolls have a prominent effect on working performance of corn combine harvester husking device. But velocity of suppressor has a less effect on it than another two factors.â‘¢The unhusk-rate and corn impurity rate of type IE of husking rolls are obviously lower than the other two types', and this illustrates that the prismatic structure of the husking rolls forepart can husk corn bracts and get rid of impurity efficiently.
