Along with science and technique developing continuously, the industrial automation level improved rapidly, the computer extensively applied in the industry realm, more and more demands for the industry automation increasingly, great varieties of the control equipments and process monitoring devices extensively have been applied in the industrial field. Currently, large and medium-sized domestic and foreign enterprises demand to develop informationization and production automation increasingly intensively, this requires not only control of the production process is centralized for improving the reliability of control, but also the various data with equipment running can be transmitted through network for data sharing, even remotely controling.The 2D12-100/8-e piston compressor is a sort of the D series air compressor probuced by Liuzhou General Air Compressor Plant, belonging to product in the 1980's,that the series of air compressor control system using the old type relays so as not to track the air compressor running data timely, also leading to increasing the device operating expenses and impacting on production greatly, with less technology, line aging, low reliability, frequent fault,discommodious maintenance, higher maintenance and repair costs.According to technique reformation project on the control system and the computer monitoring system of the 2D12-100/8-e piston compressor of the 4th air compressor Station in the Power Plant of Guizhou Branch of China Aluminum Co.,LTD, this paper elaborated the design process on PLC reformation, touchscreen and Computer Monitoring System of the 2D12-100/8-e type piston compressor control system. The reformed air compressor control system is running stably and reliably with low failure rate,with the friendly man-machine interface of touchscreen designed and simple, convenient and easily knowable operation, and through WINCC configuration software realizing computer monitoring, the various data with equipment running of 2D12-100/8-e piston compressor transmitted through the network, to achieve sharing the data and remotely monitoring. The stable operation of the equipment reduced material consumption and the spareparts replacement, alleviated the maintenance labor intensity, and effected on energy-saving,with the good economic returns. Through this reformation, the technical personnels and employees in the company have learned a lot of related knowledge on PLC control, touchscreen and WINCC configuration and so on, exercised the staff, and accumulated rich experience.
