According to the demand from a domestic institute, the paper designs a general high power and full digital DC servo controller, studies and implements PID control algorithm simulation with MATLAB.Firstly, the paper elaborates general design of the servo system, chooses and calibrates main components; the single chip microcomputer system consists of microprocessor 80C196KC, storage AT29C512 and programmable logic device EPF10K50RI240-4, designs R/D transform circuit, PWM power amplifier circuit, A/D transform circuit; uses assembler language to compile timer interrupt, serial communication and main program.After finishing the servo controller, this paper studies control algorithm of servo system. It has built mathematic model of the controlled plant and fixed transfer function of the system; simulated increment PID control algorithm in SIMULINK; implemented MATLAB program on the basis of feed forward PID compound control theory, and the result shows that feed forward PID greatly improves tracking performance.
