| China is a country which is in possession of the most abundant water power resources in the world, with gross reserves of 676 million kilowatts. According to the ninth Five-Year-plan and the plan for 2010, the project to transmit electricity from the west to the east is rapidly underway. Some of large power stations located in the west which are under implementation and planning have a unit capacity of more than 500MVA. As the capacity of the machine increases, its structure size also increases. As a result, the process of choosing and designing component will encounter new problems and challenges, as traditional structures will not adapt to the new development of the machine. Therefore, it is necessary to find some new design principles. These new design principles not only include the design of the large hydro-generator itself, but also the adoption of new design tools.This research paper do the following:1. Discuss the building of large hydro-generator in our country. And analyze top-down design method and the present condition of research in top-down design system.2. Use the Nuozhadu hydro-generator as an example. Briefly introduce and summarize the structure characteristics of large hydro-generators. A structure of oblique element can be adopted in the real design of components of the generator: stator frame, rotor spider and bearing bracket. Discuss the application of double layer thrust bearing pads. Present the flow chart used when designing stator frame, rotor spider, upper bracket, lower bracket and bearing.3. Discuss rigidity and strength analysis of stator frame, upper bracket, lower bracket, rotor spider.4. Commencing with research on top-down theory research, use the generator key parts of rotor spider and upper bracket as examples, discuss how to use Pro/E top-down method in the design of generator structure. |
