In order to deepn the cognitions of mechanical performancesand operating principles in asphalt pavement materials and structural buildups in the unique condition of hot environment in Jiangxi to verify the rationality of exepressway asphalt pavement structures built or would built ,and to submit beneficial recommendations for engineering,in course of the question research ,a series of works on the climate,typical asphalt pavement structures and materials of Jiangxi have been done by means of ordinary computing methods,finite-element program and material trials.Via studying on climate of every area of Jiangxi,refer to the methods of Eight-Five Study Questions , arrival at the climatic regionalization of Jiangxi Province on asphalt pavement performance,educe the asphalt binder PG(performance grade)which should be attained when aspnalt binder used in every area of Jiangxi Province,by comparing the results attained by referring to methods of SHRP or analyzing with finite-element program;By way of research on high temperature stability for asphalt pavement, summarizing the courses and experiences of adopting asphalt mixtures in Jiangxi expressway constructed in recent years more than ten,recommend better asphalt mixtures and measures in order to offer effective assurance for improving the high temperature stability and resistance to nutting of asphalt pavement, etc.;With the analysis of typical asphalt pavement structures on expressway built in recent years do by finit-element program,find the regularities of distribution and variation of mechnical factors(shear stress,shear strain,etc.)and others concerned with high temperature stability of each and every asphalt pavement structure,at the same time analyze an attention-getting question concerning the relation between asphalt stabilized macadam base course and performances of nutting resistance of asphalt pavement ,introduce the pavement structures be adopted by preference.It's considered that suitable measures should be adopted in the way of material,aggregate-grading,construction and structure buildup in order to ensure asphalt pavemeant have stronger high temperature stability and others in the construcionof Jiangxi expressway,asphalt,which asphalt binders being chosen in accordance to asphalt PG, aggregate qualities according to criteria,aggregate-grading being corse-close-grained one (close-grained compages),asphalt mixtures such as AC-C,SMA and all that being chosen firstly,and recommend to choose the asphalt pavement with complex base course on espressway.At the end, the problems about loads,different road conditions,criteria of resistance to shear,beforehand estimate of nutting of asphalt pavement are brought forward ,which requiring further studies .For limited conditions ,these questions haven't been carried on home.
