Long-span structure, a extensive application of civil buildings, as landmark buildingof a region and a vital project facilities, assures the main structure's safely running, thereof,it has important economic and social significance.Consecutive Dou Gong-patterned dome is a new style structure, which introducesconsecutive concept, Comparing to former revolving domes. It is constituted of ordinaryspace-truss at dome and pile-up horizontal annulus at underside. Currently, research ondome structures is nearly zero and cognition is not comprehensive. Base on a real project,from theory and construction test, the paper does some studies on static, dynamic,construction simulation and construction monitoring behavior of dome structures with the'Dou Gong' rod.Firstly an nonlinear method and some related theories are presented in this paper, andthen through universal element software, such as ANSYS and SAP2000, the single andintegral calculation models of the new structure, which include double nonlinear are set upand the static behavior of it is analyzed, meanwhile, optimization of prestressed cable isimplemented on single dome structure. In the following the anterior modes and frequenciesof the Dou Gong-patterned dome are analyzed by subspace iteration in the analysis ofself-oscillation. It is found that the modes of the two structures are similar, and thesusceptive performance to the connection condition and to the prestressed cable isstudied. In the subsequent analysis of responses under earthquake, the behavior of thedome structure under different earthquakes, such as El-Centro,Taft and site wave, areanalyzed by time-history method in the paper, and considering of earthquake-resistantperformance of the structure under double nonlinear state, displacement and strain of thestructure under one dimension frequently-occurred, one dimension rarely-occurred, threedimension frequently-occurred, three dimension rarely-occurred and rare earthquakes areanalyzed.In the construction simulation and monitoring part, the displacement and strain arechecked whether they are same to the design, and the same time the quality is checked, andthe construction advice is presented. The construction simulation of ANSYS is used in thispaper .As a result, the values of simulation and monitoring stage have some differences,while the deforming laws are same. In the subsequence tests of roof construction, thedeforming state of roof structure under roofing loads is nearly same to the anticipativevalue, that is to say, it basically satisfies the demands of structure design.
