| In high altitude and cold regions such as Tibet, the winter is cold and long, and river ice regime is serious. Ice damage has been the key problem deciding whether the hydropower stations especially the diversion hydropower stations can run normally. For the unique climate and geographic characteristics, the diurnal variation of ice formation and melting is obvious, and the stable ice cover can not be formed, the main ice form is the suspendant ice crystal. The Tanghe hydropower station in Tibet is taken as an example in this paper, and the period when the damage of ice crystal is most serious is taken as the study period. Combining prototype observations with numerical simulation, the process of ice crystal concentration changing with time and space is researched, and ice control effect by using solar energy is discussed. The results will provide scientific ice control experience and reference for diversion hydropower stations in high altitude and cold regions. The main works of results in the paper are as follows:(1) The prototype observation on ice regime was carried out on the diversion channel of Tanghe hydropower station in Tibet, and correlative meteorologic datum were collected. The results indicate that the ice crystal concentration reaches the maximum value at about 10:00 to 12:00 a.m., and the minimum value appears at... |
