This paper stems from the topic of saving energy. According the trait of frequently braking of bus, this paper designed a control device which changing the braking mode from depending on the brakes to make a resistance to force bus stop to driving air compressor. The air compressor translated the energy of bus to high pressure gas and stored it in a tank. Through this mode, the running bus can be stopped. When the bus ran again, using the gas energy stored in tank to drive the bus, thus can saving the energy of bus.The main purpose of this paper is to design a control system for saving energy device. This control system is mainly consists of two parts: hardware part and software part. In hardware part, in order to execute multiple tasks, need the help of Embedded Operating System. So we chose an ARM chip S3C44B0X, which can run Embedded Operate System, and configured memory chip for it in order to make a minimum system. At the same time, added some units such as data collecting, data displaying, communicating, performance and power circuits, thus consisted a complete system.In software part, according the control demand of saving energy device, analyzed the control process of start programs and stop programs of the saving energy on bus carefully, and made further research on how to fulfill relative function and the problems that should be paid attention to. At the same time, wrote main control programs and the drive programs of peripheral control chips such as data displaying, communicating etc.Otherwise, in order to run Embedded Operating System, this paper also chose μClinux appropriately from all kinds of Embedded Operating System to support this control system according its traits, introduced the traits of μClinux, analyzed the problems that should be concerned and the parts that should be rewrote when it was explanted.
