The soil slope stability is influenced by many factors, and there are two common factors that bring the slope to glide. On one hand, the slope stability may be destroyed by outside force. On the other hand, the strength of soil in the slope is easy to be weakened by environmental influence, and when it approaches a critical point the slope stability will be failed. In the analysis of the soil slope stability, safety coefficient is the key to measure the slope stability. At first this thesis introduces different slice methods based on the theory of limit equilibrium, and analyzes the merit and shortcoming of this methods. Through much model calculation of safety coefficient in the slice method based on the theory of limit equilibrium, the influences on safety coefficient from different calculation method, soil engineering parameter, grounder water level and slope top surcharge are took into account. And on the basis of resulted data, the influencing way to safety coefficient from various factors is offered. The result of analysis indicates that, the outcome of safety coefficient may deviates a little from different calculations on the same slope on the theory of limit equilibrium. The safety coefficient of slope stability seems susceptible to the soil shear strength index because of varying slope height, slope grade and different soil. And the influence on slope stability from grounder water level lies in the location of free water surface on the slope. The safety coefficient of slope stability reduces with the rising of free water surface. At the end, the thesis takes the slide of one highway roadbed as example. The thesis introduces the general situation of the roadbed reinforced by grit piles, and the roadbed glided after the soil be loaded. The thesis analyzes the stress under the roadbed according to the test of bearing capacity of it, the result shows that the bearing capacity of it is deficient. The thesis set up slope models with different high of the slope and different depths of the grit piles, then use the slice method based on the theory of limit equilibrium to get the safety coefficients, the result shows it accord with the fact.
