Study On Eco-City Planning And It's Planning Method--Example Of Xiamen

To adapt the sustainable development, many cities are planning to construct eco-city in China now. But there is still lack of uniform and standard method of eco-city planning. So it is very significative to study on method of eco-city planning.This paper was completed based on the project of Xiamen Eco-City Conceptional Planning that author entered as main planner. To begin with the research on eco-city's origin, concept and character from the point of view of city development, this paper's theme: eco-city planning was fetched out. Then the eco-city planning's basic theory was summarized, and the method and technique of eco-city planning was discussed on emphasis which included the eco-city planning's main contents, procedure, general measure and the technique platform of planning. And then, according to the eco-city planning's request, the method and technique of eco-city planning was divided into four sorts: method of analysis, method of regionalization, method of design and method of decision-making, those were discussed at length later. Finally, a case of Xiamen was brought forward which based on the project of Xiamen Eco-City Conceptional Planning.
