| Research of Enhancing the Serviceabilityof cement Concrete Pavement(Abstract)Written by Jiang Gongxue Supervised by Prof. Wang Changheng & Senior engineer Zhang ChaoWith the development of the economic and the carrying out of the west exploitation, our country is making an effort in developing the transportation and communication, especially the highway construction. Because of the shortage of the bitumen and the abundance of cement concrete, cement concrete pavement is widely constructed. However, some common damages occurred in the cement concrete pavement constructed in the earlier time could not be solved efficiently, which has evoked extensive attention.The paper is based on the construction of the express-highway between Yiyang and Changde in Hunan Province, aiming at enhancing the serviceability of cement concrete pavement, probing into the structural assemblage of the cement concrete pavement, the roadway drainage system, contraction joint with the dowel bar and precaution of bumping at the end of the abutment. It presents some achievements of the research, including more reasonable structural assemblage and roadway drainage system, the method of setting dowelled bar in contraction joint, putting forward the concept of stage-transition from rigid to flexile behind abutment. These techniques and methods were successfully applied in the Yiyang-changde Express Highway, ensuring the project quality ,and were applied extensively in other express highwayin our province. This has made great social utility and economic effect. |
