As an important aspect of urban road landscape, the color of plant landscape is well worthy to research. Presently, the study on plantscape color at domestic and abroad mainly focuses on micro domain such as the aesthetic applications of gardern plants. However, reasrech from the macro perspective on it has been less concern. Thus, based on the research gap of plant color in urban roads, the paper from visual elements to the start, proved factors which effect the color of landscape plant in urban roads, and we explore guide on how to control of plant landscape, aim to establish the overall study in ideas and framework of urban road plantscape.The primary content and innovation of this study is as below:Firstly, color composition and analysis of urban road plant landscape. From the visual to explore the law of color landscape, threee aspects of plant color were summarized in physical properties, constitute and material. Combination of color theory and related cases, model of coordination and color spectrum were proposed for urban road plant color; Meanwhile, urban road landscape plant color factors wre deeply analized from the main and impact object, including the human behavior factors, and environment color of urban roads. Based on the three pasts'study, to provide a scientific basis for the color control of landscape plant in urban roads.Secondly, principles and methods of color control of urban roads plants are proposed, to lead the planning of urban road plant color control and guide. This section is the centre of this thesis, it proposes the principle of urban road plant color control based on the former researching terms, including matching to actors, coordination with environment color, historical and cultural association, coordination with natural environment; refering to the research of city color planning, it constructs an urban road plant landscape color control procedure. This procedure includes three steps: The first is preparation and investigation stage, which is to collect urban road related information,analyse and summarize colors and make clear the restrict elements; the second is overall control of plant color in urban roads, analysis of the impact factors of plant color in urban roads, to determine the overall goals and principles of plant color control, the over tone, composition and choice of plant species; finally is the color the landscape of urban road section of plant control, according to the analysis and conclusion of the first two steps, to get corresponding means of control and guidance strategy, and complete the whole process of urban roads plant landscape color control. Thirdly, application of color control in plant landscape for urban road, to benefit the planning and design of urban road plant landscape practice. Based on the analysis of plant landscape color in Shanghai roads, summarized its main plant landscape mode. And application of plant landscape planning of People Road in Zhangjiagang, the landscape plants models are recommended, to improve operability of color control of plant landscape in urban roads.The significance of this thesis are: research on color of plant landscape to enrich the theoretical of the urban roads color.Through control and guidance of palnt color, so as to make the the overall coordination of urban road environment, and provide a guidance to planning and design of palnt landscape.The study on plant landscape color is still on initial stage, and for the specific details remain to be further research. Color control of urban road landscape of plant remains to be further improved since it is the first time to be put forward. And its analysis of factors and control methods to be further improved.
