| With the development of history and promotion of urbanization, Construction Industry, which has consumed massive natural resources and caused devastating environmental impact, is strictly controlled by various countries and regions and has continued to be the focus of the whole world. Due to the specialty of Chinese society's evolution, the existing problems of ecological environment and natural resources of Chinese Construction Industry have become more severe than ever before. Under this situation, a new concept, green construction, has been put forward. The energy saving and environment friendly design of the whole construction life cycle meet the requirement of sustainability. Thus, Green Construction has become the hottest issue of the whole industry and even the society.Since Chongqing's self-governing in 1997, various roads, bridges, factories and residential quarters have been built. The development and construction of these infrastructures, particularly of the residential areas, contribute to the development of Chongqing and become its dynamic power. Chongqing is a born waterfront city with rich natural resources and great advantages of constructing green residential districts. However, the construction of these residential areas has depleted lots of energies and caused huge impact on the environment. As a result, green residential district has become the trend of the development of Chongqing.This thesis firstly reviews the history of green residential district and examines the domestic and overseas theories and practices of green residential district. In terms of overseas research, the thesis states the concept of habitation environment, ecological building, sustainable building and energy saving building. Then by examining the cases from Europe, America, Japan and South-east Asia, the dissertation summarizes their experience of developing green residential district from the perspective of economy, geography and climate. Finally, it briefly introduces the related design specification and evaluation criteria of green residential district. As for domestic research, this thesis firstly states the development of Chinese green building and its design specification and evaluation criteria. Then, by examining some existing green residential district cases such as the Suzhou Lang Shi Green District and Shenzhen Wan Ke City 4th, the dissertation summarizes the development of green residential district in China.The thesis investigates the development of green residential district in waterfront areas in the main districts of Chongqing. Firstly, it conducts analysis on some basic factors such as geographical environment, climatic conditions, and ecological resources based on the characteristics of waterfront city. Then, it briefly states the development and current conditions of energy saving constructions in Chongqing. Finally,it discusses the strategy, scope, content and method of the investigations of waterfront residential district in Chongqing from the perspective of green residential district. Moreover, it gives in-depth analysis on the development of Chongqing's green residential district in the six aspects of green building.By the research results, the dissertation summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of developing green residential district in waterfront area in the main districts of Chongqing. Based on the above studies, the thesis stipulates principles of designing waterfront green residential district in the main districts of Chongqing: to take the whole situation into account, to suit the measure to local conditions, to take advantage of local conditions.Then it discusses each strategy at different stages of the design, and explores the strategies and factors of scheme design from the perspective of planning, building, landscape and ecological resource respectively. In this strategy, the designer makes full use of the above advantages and computer simulation techniques to make optimization. Finally, the thesis makes in-depth research on Ruian Hualongqiao district cases in the perspective of green residential district, discusses its goodness and badness, through comparison with the related design criteria, and put forward some improving strategies for the future design.Overall, the thesis demonstrates that it is feasible and beneficial to develop green residential district in riverside districts in Chongqing. In the process of planning, the designer should design a green residential district which meets the related criteria using computer simulation techniques based on its characteristics, natural resources, as well as goodness and badness of waterfront city. |
