Thus, at the present, many dead pigs caused by illness still exist in many parts of our country. Plenty of harmful pork was mixed in the link of butchering, markets and consumption. This severely threatens people's health and lives. Therefore, it's significant to establish the traceable system of the safety of pork.This essay puts emphasis on the establishment and realization of Shanghai safety information trace back system of pork circulation. It centers the pork in circulation and its operators, and is based on its manufacturers. It integrates the information available and collects, deals with and stores basic data, so that it can establish an all-around system of monitoring the safety circulation of pork, from its butchering to its wholesale and to its retail. This ensures that people can trace back to the origin of the pork bought in its retail, such as markets, supermarkets or trade fairs.The track system has 6 subsystems, including specialized pork slaughter house in Shanghai, pork slaughter house in other provinces, pork wholesale markets, supermarkets, standardized fairs and data center. The system covers all aspects of the flow of pork, by establish various links between the subsystems of information transfer, using the IC card as the carrier of information transfer and innovation in the wholesale market based on the use of RFID technology, electronic settlement system in the wholesale market valuation using a dedicated network trace scales to ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of information delivery, also in the data center uses a custom reporting system, to quickly realize the design of reports and queries. The project mentioned in the essay is a practical Shanghai governmental project in 2008. It was put into practice in 2008, and it accepted inspection in the same year. Now it has covered 30 pork slaughter house in other provinces, 14 specialized pork slaughter house in Shanghai,12 pork wholesale enterprises, 18 pork distributors,164 big supermarkets, 631 standardized fairs. Now it runs smoothly. It can not only trace pork circulation safety information, but also province information support to functional departments so that they can use these data to make decisions.In China, the project is the first system in cities and provinces. And it is well received by state commerce administrative department.
