The paper is aimed at the main question that water cut rising faster of WX Oilfield. Take " the stable production of oilfield " as the goal, used numerical simulation and reservoir engineering theory, the factors of production decline and the increase of the capacity of aquifers are analyzed theoretically. And combined with a large number of actual data, the evaluation of development status for development block of WX Oilfield has been given. Figuring out the variation of development status and development index of WX Oilfield, to provide accurate and reliable theoretical basis for rational development and adjustment of WX Oilfield. In the case of different stages of exploration and production rate, studying variation of the production decline and the increase of the capacity of aquifers so on, using the results of history matching, the variation of development indicators such as production decline rate and rising water rate of WX Oilfield be predicted. At the same time, combined the study the variation of fluid productivity index, productivity index, water absorption index with the increase of the capacity of aquifers, reasonable limits of production rate has been formulated, the development suggestion for controlling production decline and the increase of the capacity of aquifers have been proposed. It will provid effective technical support for development of post-adjustment, evaluation development and adjustment effects, and for oil field development decision of WX Oilfield. It will lay the foundation for the latter part of a comprehensive adjustment of oil fields and will offer important significance to the stability of oil production and long-term sustainable development to WX Oilfield.
