| In this paper, we have presented the reactions of polydentate Schiff-baseligands with transition-metals and/or lanthanides ions lead to eightcompounds, the single-crystal structure analysis and the magnetic propertieshave been studied in further.Single-crystal structure analysis demonstrated that complexes 7(C88H126N4Pr10O66) and 8(C90H130N4Nd10O66) are isostructural, and twodifferent binding modes can be observed for the Schiff base ligand incompounds 2 (C54H82N4O34Cl2Mn4) and 5 (C66H126N4O50Cl2Mn4Nd2),6(C96H148N6O70Dy10),and 7 to 8 with which it chelates to metal ions. Moreinterestingly, we found the co-existence of five different coordination modesof acetate groups in complex 6, however only three in complexes 7 and 8.Magnetic measurements revealed that dominant anti-ferromagneticinteractions within all the present compounds, moreover, the magneticsusceptibilities for compounds 5 and 6 have been investigated. However, theabsence of slow relaxation of the magnetization was observed in them. |
