This thesis focussed on the synthesis of 4-acetylamido-N-(3-amino-[1,2,4] triazole-1-yl)-benzenesulfonamide series corrosion inhibitor and their application on copper inhibition.Heterocycle containing nitrogen is a type of inhibitor that has an excellentcorrosion inhibition on copper. 4-acetylamido-N-(3-amino-[1,2,4] triazole-1-yl)-benzenesulfonamide has been synthesized with p-acetamidobenzene sulfonyl chlorideand 3-Amino-1,2,4-triazole as material, and its structure was determined by X-raydiffraction. Hydrolyzation of 4-acetylamido-N-(3-amino-[1,2,4] triazole-1-yl)-benzenesulfonamide has been investigated as follows: hydrolyzing it separately indifferent consistency of NaOH,HCl,NaHCO3 solutions.The result shows rowing to thesulfanilamide bond here is longer than document reported, the bond is inclined to breakas hydrolyzing acylamide bond. A series of schiff base have been synthesized from4-acetylamido-N-(3-amino-[1,2,4] trizaole-1-yl)-benzenesulfonamide and differentaromatic aldehyde by the solvent absent method or the solvent method. Thesecompounds have been characterized by IR, H1NMR, and MS. The inhibition efficiencieswere measured by potentiodynamic polarisation, electrochemical impedancespectroscopy (EIS) and weight-loss experiments. The result showed that the solventmethod is better than the solvent absent method. As adding a little bit of target compound,corrosion process of copper surface has been slow down, significantly minish thecorrosion current and corrosion rate. As the increase of polarization impedance, bothsurface coverage and inihition efficiency were obviously increased.
