As being a new technology of steelmaking, continuous casting has displayed its great superiorities in some aspects, such as declining production costs, increasing economic efficiency, streamlining processing and so on. Gyration Platform of Ladle is a transportation equipment of Steel containers, which will transport steel containers quickly by leaps and bounds and continuous casting, finish the replacement between full steel containers and empty containers quickly at the same time, it can achieve the continuity of steel casting with steel containers and crystallization equipment. We can know that Gyration Platform of Ladle is very important in casting workshop. If there are something wrong when Gyration Platform of Ladle is working, fault diagnosis and analysis is very important. The premise of faults diagnosis is that we should be to master the stress and strain level of every section of linkage Gyration Platform of Ladle in further. The traditional analysis methods and empirical formula are hardly to calculate the stress and strain level of overall linkage Gyration Platform of Ladle, but this paper will make good used of Finite Element Method to calculate, specially the stress and strain distributions of some very important sections, which will lay the foundation for faults diagnosis of Gyration Platform of Ladle. So before making faults diagnosis, we need to analyze the Gyration Platform of Ladle by Finite Element Method for its stress and strain phenomenon. Furthermore, by using the Finite Element Method to analyze above, we could make sure which section will go wrong or out of work at present, and this is convenient to make good preparations for the next detection also. So this method can improve analyzing efficiency and analyzing accuracy.
