| It attracts worldwide attention in recent years that the rapid development of livestock and poultry breeding industry has made remarkable achievements in China, but the management of animal manure is always ignored. Large amount of excretion from intensive stock has caused serious environmental contamination, which has become a serious problem in our country. On the basis of calculating the production of animal excretion, the quantity and density of available nutrients in the manure and the quantity of nutrients needed by the crops, this system aims at making a reasonable animal manure management plan and resolving the problem "when, where to apply the animal manure for the best". With the help of this system, farmers can apply the animal excretion as the fertilizer in the farmland more reasonably, decrease the blindness in using animal manure, and avoid the time contradiction between the needing of crops growth and the application of animal manure. This system shows the user with visual interface, friendly and succinct forms, definite meaning of parameters, and easy operation.The basic frame and the development of the system uses Visual Basic 6.0 language, and specific contents of the paper including:1) The system is composed of seven panels: the general panel, the fields panel, the crops panel, the storages panel, the animals panel, the manure management panel and database management panel. Use the general data panel to enter the general information for"the animal manure management plan"; Use the Fields data panel to define the operation's crop fields and to calculate the quality of nutrient supplied by the soil; Use the Crops data panel to enter the fields' crops and yield goals for each year in the plan and to calculate the quality of nutrient absorbed by the crops; Use the Storage data panel to define the operation's manure storage facility; Use the Animals data panel to define the operation's animal groups and to calculate the production of animal excretion, the quantity of available nutrient in the storage, the nutrient density in the storage and so on; Use the manure management panel to make animal manure management more reasonably. Use the database management panel to add and to browse the basic datas.In the manure management panel, if a storage cell's background is red, this indicates that the anticipated manure available by the end of that month will exceed the facility's capacity, which suggests the farmer the time to apply the animal manure. If a number in a field cell is red, this means that no more manure is needed that month, which suggests the farmer the quality to apply the animal manure.The VB toolbox control was used in this system. The function of the Msflexgrid table control was improved by creating a dynamic control Text (text box), Combo control, Command control on the cell of the Msflexgrid table in this system, which is convenient for users to enter and browse data.2) The system provides the calculation of the quantity of available nutrients in the manure storage, the nutrient density in the manure storage, and the production of animal excretion. Instead of using the average daily and annual animal waste discharge rate, the system calculates the production of animal excretion on the basis of the animal weight, which is more suitable to the actual situation. To minimize the error, the system also calculates the production of the animal feces, the animal emiction and the flush water respectively. The famous Logistic and Gompertz curves on animals are used in the system to calculate the animal weight.3) The system provides the calculation of nutrients supplied by the soil, nutrients absorbed by plants, and the quantity of animal manure for the best to apply in the farmland.4) The value of the parameter A, B and K of the Logistic and Gompertz curves on animals, the parameter of the production of the animal excretion, the content of Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium in the animal manure, and the economic coefficient of the crops were investigated in this paper. The databases of animal information, animal excretion information, crop information were established in this paper. |
