| With the development of life standard, garment, as an absolutely necessary consumption demand in daily life, has gone through the obvious change from quantitive consumption to qualitative consumption and to today's"sensory consumption". The principle of Sensory Engineering is able to translate abstract perception demands of garment into detailed design elements of garment style effectively. The quantified relationship between them can be directive and helpful to garment designers and consumers. The style of woman's overcoat was researched by the method of fore-quantitive deducing sensory engineering. Firstly, the style of woman's overcoat was analyzed by the Shape Analytical Method, and 25 design elements which really influence the perception judgment of consumers were found. Secondly, 6 word-pairs, which were used to describe the perception of woman's overcoat, were obtained through collection, selection and classification. Then, the mathematic models between the perception and design elements of woman's overcoat were established by the Quantification Theory, and were applied to predict the value of perception evaluation. Finally, these mathematic models were applied to a system with two functions——perception analysis and style search, which were developed by Visual Basic 6.0 programming language and database management software Access 2003. |
