With the high contentration of NH3-N in the water,nature nitration is restrained, water becomes anoxic,fishes are poisoned, and the self-depuration ability of water is reduced. The research of economical and efficient mehods to controll the NH3-N pollution has become an important program.As a kind of low-priced nonmetallic mineral,zeolite has good selective adsoprtion for NH3-N, and the activity can be improved by modifying. It's show that the higher contentration of zeolite is followed by better degradation of NH3-N ,but lower strength. The low strength zeolite pellet is broken easily with water power pound.The methods and proper conditions of zeolite modification is studied in this paper.The results shows that the zeolite modified at 70~75℃for 1.5h in NaCl solution of 1 mol/L, 15mg/L show the best degration rate of 85% to 10mg/L of mimic NH3-N waste water.Modified porous zeolite pellet is synthesized and it's removal rate of NH3-N is approach to the modified zeolite.The modified porous zeolite pellet with additional reagent doped has higher toughness,but lower degradation activity of NH3-N. when the doping amount of additional reagent reach to 40%, the removal rate is 69.3% of mimic NH3-N waste water and 75% of the overflow of second precipitate pond of shahu wuhan,but the pellet is strong enough to sustain water power pound. The methods of regeneration of the modified porous zeolite pellet are also studied. The results show that the pellet is regenrated economically and effectively in NaCl solution of 1.0mol/L for 3.5h.After having been regenerated for 10 times, the removal rate of NH3-N reduces about 5%.In this paper, The modified porous zeolite pellet has good anti-press strength, effective degradating of NH3-N, and keep good function after many times regenration. It's hoped to be applied widely in industry.
