| Surfactant is a kind of amphiphilic compound that has many properties such as emulsification, producing foams, washing, dispersion and so on. It was used widely on ore flotation, foam dust, foam separation, firefighting industry, some research on some surfactants were carried on as follows:(1) Relationship among concentration, surface tension and foamability of surfactant were discussed. The results showed that the better foamability were contributed from good synergism of both SDS/OB-2 and SDS/BS-12 composite system.(2) Effect of dodecanol, triethanolamine, CMC-Na and PAM on foamability and foam stability of composite system were studied. The results indicated that foam height was increased about 4% when the quality ratio of dodecanol was about 0.1% of the solution, and better foamability was contributed from good synergism between dodecanol and combination system. The foam stability were improved greatly when m(triethanolamine)=1.0%, m(CMC-Na)=0.02% of the solution.(3) A static force model was proposed for the foam system of SDS aqueous solution, and the relationship between static potential in the film and foam stability was analyzed theoretically. The results of model simulation were correspondency with that of test wih the foam stability was reduced when NaCl was added in the solution.(4) The composite system with super foamability is compose of cheapness, facility and innocuity of C-H surfactants were prepared and tried to carry on the fire fighting test.
