This paper studied on the synthesis, characterization and property of urushiol-aldehyde-amine polymer. Main research work as follows.Firstly, urushiol formaldehyde diethylenetriamine polymer (UFDP) was prepared with urushiol, formaldehyde and diethylenetriamine, and the use of phase inversion technique enable transform UFDP to stable waterborne emulsion. UFDP emulsion is used as waterborne epoxy resin (EP)'s curing agent, the property of UFDP/EP waterborne coating was studied. The results showed that the coating was cured under natural conditions, when film formed of-NH-and -(?)- at a ratio of 2/1 (n/n) had excellent resistance against chemical media, organic solvent and good thermo-stability.Secondly, urushiol formaldehyde triethylenetetraarnine polymer (UFTP) prepared by urushiol, formaldehyde and triethylenetetraamine was water soluble, directly as waterborne epoxy resin curing agent. The property of UFTP/EP waterborne coating and UFTP was studied. The results showed that the coating can be cured into film with excellent physico-mechanical properties, resistance against chemical media, organic solvent, water and thermo-stability under natural conditions. Besides, UFTP has certain surface activity.Lastly, preparation of UFDP microsphere with suspension polymerization was investigated. The structure and properties of microsphere were studied by SEM, TG, IR, DSC, elemental analysis and other physico-chemical means. The results showed that the microsphere had porous structure, with good resistance against organic solvent and thermo-stability.This paper will provide theoretical and experimental basis for the study and research on natural raw lacquer as function material.
