Petrol-chemistry industry is an important department in the chemical industry. The production of ethane can be a sign of petrol-chemistry industry capacity of a section. There are acid gas(most of CO2, H2S) in the cracked gas which was used to produce ethane from the cracking furnace. It would do harm to the separate equipment and polymerize equipment. The acid gas should be separated thoroughly from the crack gas before the compress process.Rotating packed bed(RPB), or Higee, is a new-style chemical process equipment used to intensify mass-transfer, separation, reaction. There was widest application in the chemical industry. Compare with the traditional mass-transfer equipment, it is a high efficiency, small volume, simple operation equipment. Presently, it is widely used in the chemical engineering, medicament industry, environment protection, nano- material production and the gas-liquid-solid separation process.Researches of the carbon dioxide absorption by sodium hydroxide solution with the metal film in the RPB and the calculation of mass-transfer coefficient had been reported. However, there is no research about the removal of acid gas from the crack gas in the RPB.In this paper, mixture gas of air and carbon dioxide was as cracked gas. The removal of acid gas from mixture gas was examined by cold-flow model experiment in the rotating packed bed (RPB) and the packed tower. The experiment in the RPB indicate that the mass transfer coefficient is 0.23.0 s-1, and it increased with a increasing of liquid flow rate, gas flow rate, rotating rate, temperature of the absorbent and concentration of absorbent, decreased with a increasing of carbon dioxide concentration of mixture gas.The result in the packed column indicate that the coefficient of mass...
